The international conference with leading scientists in the fields of history of cartography, art and film history, cultural sciences, history of science, land surveying, pictorial science and philosophy should open up an interdisciplinary perspective on the subject. The outcome will be published in the conference proceedings and contributes to the preparation of the exhibition »Weltvermesser«.
