Erster Weltkrieg im Vergleich / Comparing World War One

Scientific research on the history of World War One has gained in
importance in Austria, Europe and North America since the last years and is now booming which is an undoubtedly instance of the forthcoming anniversary of 2014.
Research work has been done on aspects of the "great seminal catastrophe of this century" (George F. Kennan) which mainly has been discussed self-contained. Whereas approaches comprising a synchronal tendency or are dealt with on a historical basis show unexploited potential and will be dedicated at the forthcoming conference.
