Projects of Modernity. Constructing the "Soviet" in European Perspective

After being founded as a student venue, the ’Constructing ‘the Soviet’?’ conference is moving to a new level. From now on we will invite not only undergraduate and postgraduate students, but also the experienced researchers in the fields of the social science and humanities. The conference aims at elucidating the European and international context of the 'Soviet’ phenomenon. The questions that we wish to focus on are: What is ‘Soviet’? Is it possible to specify ‘Soviet’ practices and phenomena?
