Syracuse Graduate History Conference - Exchanges and Returns: The Crossroads of Interaction
This year's conference will be held 23 March 2012 on the campus of Syracuse University. The conference is hosted by the Future Professoriate Program of the Syracuse University Department of History, which exists to help graduate students develop teaching skills, research techniques, and professional identity. Graduate students throughout the northeast region and beyond are welcome to apply, proposing either individual or panel presentations.
The theme of the conference, "Exchanges and Returns: The Crossroads of Interaction," is meant to provoke a range of proposals from all subfields, subjects, periods and regions. We will be accepting papers from any geographic location on a wide range of themes including but not limited to: the exchange of goods and ideas; the intersection of peoples and polities; transfers of power, knowledge, technologies between metropole and peripheries; and the crossroads of past and present.
