The Balkan Wars 1912/13. Experience, Perception, Remembrance

The conference aims to explore the two Balkan Wars of 1912/13 from the perspective of New Military History. We call for cross-disciplinary proposals approaching the Balkan Wars through a triple lens as experienced, perceived and/or remembered. Proposals should aim at scrutinizing these two wars on the basis of their manifold interconnections. We invite scholars to reflect on Koselleck's Semantics of Historical Time(s) (Zeitschichten) in order to approach the two wars as an integral part of the history of European wars in the 20th century.
