Hungary: Protests against education system keep pupils from school

Due to protests against the Hungarian state education system many pupils didn’t attend classes two weeks ago. The parents of these students kept their kids at home to show their sympathy with the teachers’ opinion about the revision-worthy, centralized curriculum, the education system which focuses on learning data and an undue workload. The protests were planned via Facebook as a reaction on a parliamentary dismissed petition claiming change in 25 points by the teachers union. The government does not agree with the inclusion of the students in the debate but admitted having done mistakes in the past. It is ready to discuss changes and to implement the outcomes by the next semester.
