Libraries become digital

The common way to borrow a book by checking opening hours and leaving for the library might change in the upcoming years, according to the British National Student Survey and the Teaching Excellence Framework. While in many cases the current students have the possibility to use E-Books next to classical printed textbooks, the discussion shifts to the complete elimination of physical spaces in libraries.
The majority of learners is affine with technologies and counts as digital natives. As a reaction to this change the libraries are planning more innovative approaches that are far from the dusty books image. It is about the introduction of 24/7 concepts, live chat support and a wide range of remote services that suit the readers and costumers best at any hour of the day.
