New Science Standards for U.S. High Schools

States from all around the USA are approving the “Next Generations Science Standards” for the teaching of climate science and evolution. In practice this means these controversial science topics won’t be discussed occasionally but will be taught in own high school classes for 8-12 graders. Lately Iowa accepted these new guidelines which are not welcome for most conservative politicians. Unfortunately some states don’t promote these policies and ban or alter them in order to prevent a “negative light on human impacts on climate change.”
