Nordic Journal of Educational History

The new Nordic Journal of Educational History (NJEDH) dates back to an intitiative at the fifth session of the standing Nordic Conference on the History of Education in 2012. The initiative was launched to create a high-ranking inter-disciplinary web-based journal to provide researchers in the history of education committed to studies with particular relevance to the Nordic region and its educational contexts with a portal for communicating and disseminating their research.
The working language is English, and the publishing languages are also the Nordic/Scandinavian ones. The journal applies a double-blind peer review procedure to all submissions. The accepted contributions are published in two issues each year (spring/autumn) in open access with no fee charged either for publication or subscription.
The first issue (1-1/Spring 2014) is out right now with an editorial statement by Björn Norlin (Umeå University) and David Sjören (Uppsala University) on „Enhancing the Infrastructure of Research on the Nordic Educational Past: The Nordic Journal of Educational History.
