Textbooks or ebooks?

According to the British Schools Minister Nick Gibb the trend of discarding textbooks in British schools threatens the pupils’ performance in international rankings. In comparison with top performing nations like South Korea or Taiwan which have a high percentage of textbook-using students, British kids use them very sparingly. On the other side an education adviser of the U.S. Department for Education makes a point by naming the disadvantages of printed education materials. The costs of copying or fast antiquating knowledge are reasons for switching to ebooks. Both opinions are reasonable and the arguments are coherent which justifies the use of printed and digital textbooks equally.
