The form of governments according to U.S. eighth-graders

The recent US National Assessment of Education Progress‘ 2014 exams revealed the wrong assumptions of one third of the eight-graders in high schools about Canada, France and Australia. While the majority of students knows that these three countries’ governments have limited powers due to constitutions, every third students seems to think the military or single leaders/dictators have the control over their countries.
