The State of America's Universities - Ten Strategic Actions

The U.S. Congress asked the National Academies for the state and future of America's research universities. The results have been issued with "Ten Strategic Actions" including that states may wish to provide greater autonomy for public research universities so that these institutions may intensify local and regional strengths to compete strategically and respond with agility to new opportunities. Another suggestion is the improvement of the productivity through reducing regulatory burdens.
