Trends in education technology 2015

InformationWeek.com took a look at five upcoming trends which are about to get more attention in education technology and introduced them on their website.
Flipped-Learning: The students learn content online by watching video lectures while the homework is done in class with teachers. This concept aims for engaging learners in and out of classrooms. Future developments will include more interactive video-lessons.
Device agnostic learning: Most Videos and Websites work on all devices, but there are apps which are exclusive to one mobile device. As more and more teachers integrate mobile learning, flexibility will be a requirement for learning contents and their medium.
Assistive technologies in the classroom: Assistive technologies, ranging from simple to complex, are playing an increasingly vital role in reducing barriers to learning for students with a variety of special needs and challenges.
Mobile learning: More mobile learning platforms and apps are expected to be available on iOS and Android. They can drive collaboration and engage different types of individual learners and groups of interconnected learners.
Personalized blended learning: Different approaches to learning, such as project-based learning, maker education, game-based learning, and more, will continue to be explored as part of personalized blended learning models.
