Turkish CHP asks about textbooks naming Erdoğan as next president before actual election

The presidential elections were held in Turkey on 10 August 2014 and resulted in a victory for the current Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He was voted by the majority of the Turkish people so there was no necessity of an election rerun. Even though the winner wasn’t determined till 10 August, the Republican People's Party (CHP) spotted an odd statement in “Atatürk Principles and History of Revolution” textbooks published by the Ministry of Education via photos circulating on social media. It claims that Erdoğan is the 12th president of the country, days before the voting. The CHP asked how the Ministry of Education knew about the results of the election, how many books were published and how much they cost the state.
