Call for Papers: History textbooks in Africa

Very few academic articles about history textbooks in Africa have appeared since the 1940s. The South African academic journal Yesterday & Today which focuses on history education recently started a call for papers about history textbooks in Africa. In order to publish a special edition the journal seeks for contributions that analyze textbooks or compare the ways in which teachers and students use them. The papers may report about the politics of publishing textbooks, introduce comparative studies, theories and methodologies, as well as any other history related topic.
