Coding instead of history and geography in Australian Schools

The education ministers of Australia agree about a big turnaround in the national curriculum. They see a big need of improving the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and several other digital skills in order to prepare the students for the highly competitive tech employment market. Specifically, it is planned to invest more time in coding classes throughout the year levels in Australian schools; to reach this goal, history and geography won’t be core subjects anymore. Australia will implement these changes in the upcoming years supported by the United Kingdom or the United States as well as companies like Google and Microsoft.
