Die Geschichte von Kambodscha unter den Roten Khmer

Seit dem Start des Genocide Education Project (GEP) im September 2004, konnte das Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam), in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ministerium für Bildung, Jugend und Sport, das Lehrbuch "A History of Democratic Kampuchea (1975-1979)" veröffentlichen (2007), an über 1300 Schulen verteilen und zudem in fünf weiteren Sprachen übersetzen. Außerdem entwickelte das DC-CAM weitere Unterrichtsmaterialen zum Genozid, organisierte Workshops und Weiterbildungen für Lehrer, gab Empfehlungen für Lehrpläne und stellte eine Sammlung von Erzählungen von Überlebenden zur Verfügung. Im abschließenden Bericht zum Projekt betont das DC-CAM: "Interest in learning about the history of the Khmer Rouge has risen dramatically with the publication of A History of Democratic Kampuchea (1975-1979) by Khamboly Dy [..] We plan to seek funding to publish and distribute another 700,000 copies of the book by late 2010".
