USA: National Study of Youth and Religion

The Catholic University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA, conducted a "National Study of Youth and Religion" in order to research the shape and influence of religion and spirituality in the lives of the American youth. The findings included that religion and/or personal belief has an broad impact and is very common among young Americans.
Furthermore, the survey asked for religious practices and the environment of the participants as in the family or in circles of friends. The role of programs and and opportunities to exert the personal belief is an additional aspects the authors of the study want to identify. Finally, the quality of personal relationships, levels of academic achievements and community involvements are an important aspects the research study had a focus on.
