Education International 7th World Congress

The Congress provides an opportunity for representatives of EI affiliates from all over the globe to meet and decide on the policies and strategies which the organisation will implement for the following four year period. It helps to strengthen the bonds of solidarity between their members — teachers and education workers from across the world. Delegates consider the major contemporary issues affecting their organisations, the international teacher trade union movement, the trade union movement generally, and the on-going struggle to achieve quality public education for all.

The theme for the 7th World Congress is “Unite for Quality Education — Better Education for a Better World.” It was adopted by Education International’s Executive Board in March 2013, and will provide the framework for the discussions at the Congress.
