Summit: Geography 2050. Mounting an Expedition to the Future.

“Geography 2050: Mounting an Expedition to the Future” is the inaugural event in a multi-year strategic dialoguemeant to help decision makers and the public alike understand the major trends that will reshape the nation and planet between now and 2050.
Hosted by the Earth Institute at Columbia University, with the support of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), and other partners and sponsors, this one-day event will take place Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the historic Low Memorial Library, site of the Pulitzer Prize Award Ceremony. Geography 2050 offers an opportunity for professionals in industry, government, academia, and the social sector, as well as members of the general public, to collectively explore how geography, spatial thinking, and geospatial data and technologies will enable us to proactively address national and global challenges.
