World as Text - Text as World

The 3rd Annual Mid-America Humanities Conference (MAHC-2012) theme, "World as Text: Text as World" seeks to investigate historical and contemporary practices of reading and writing the world, broadly conceived. As a forum for interdisciplinary student research, MAHC encourages participation from students in the humanities, social sciences, and the arts: anthropology, religious studies, art history, literatures and languages, history, women's studies, media studies, visual arts, geography, theatre, dance, sociology, film, American Studies, and other interdisciplinary programs.
